McCory

Growing up in Great Falls, Montana, McCory learned to appreciate art at an early age. His grandfather was a well-known painter and sculpture and his mom loved to decorate homes. After a college photography class, McCory was hooked. In his free time, he took pictures whenever and wherever he could.

McCory worked as a web designer for many years before making his passion his life’s work. In 2003, McCory James Photography was born.

Since that time, McCory has photographed more than 150 weddings. His outgoing personality and laid-back style lends itself to capturing your special day without any stress.

The technical skills McCory garnered while working as a web designer allow him to create unique pieces of art you will be sure to treasure for a lifetime. They also guarantee that you will have a high quality website that is easy for you and your guests to view.

McCory is the Vice President of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP). His work has been featured in numerous publications, including The Knot, Modern Bride and the book "Plan Your Wedding…In No Time".

In his free time, McCory enjoys traveling, soccer, hiking, skiing and spending time with his wife, Kelly, and son, Landon.

Ryan

Ryan joined the McCory James Photography team three years ago. A Colorado native and a graduate from the University of Colorado at Denver with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Ryan found that social documentary photography proved to showcase his abilities since working closely with people is his greatest strength. He has taken that skill set and put it to good use when photographing weddings.

In his spare time, Ryan enjoys the many activities that Colorado has to offer. Riding his motorcycle, reading and traveling abroad are what inspires him.
